Burn Wise Messaging for All Seasons
As we head into the warmer months and the wood burning season comes to an end, how are you encouraging responsible residential wood heating? EPA is promoting the idea of ‘Split, Stack, Cover and Store’ to get people thinking about ways they can properly season their firewood in the off season. We worked with the Region 10 tribal air workgroup to develop a new tribal wood smoke brochure “Wet Wood is a Waste” – http://www.epa.gov/burnwise/pdfs/TribalBrochure.pdf. Let us know if you’d like hard copies- we have several thousand to distribute before burn season.
Do you have your own summertime messaging? What has worked for your organization?
