About

EPA’s Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program collects and makes public annual data from industrial facilities about the toxic chemicals they’re managing, including those being released into the environment. These data are used by a variety of individuals and organizations.

We’ve set up this online forum to provide a place for you to discuss TRI data – share ideas, identify problems, and tell us in the TRI Program what we’re doing well and how we can improve.

We encourage you to comment! Your feedback will help us better understand your information needs and influence how we provide TRI data in the future.

We want the topics discussed in this forum to be useful to you, so if there’s something you’d like to talk about here, please email us at tri.help@epa.gov with your suggestions. New topics will be posted periodically.

Please note that this forum won’t be used to respond to regulatory questions or inquiries about TRI-MEweb or other aspects of the TRI reporting process. For answers to these questions, please contact the TRI Information Center at 1-800-424-9346 (select option #3 from menu) or refer to the TRI Reporting for Facilities webpage.
