The water will be cool, so cool air or wind or rain might create some mild hypothermia risk.

Corrections: Neither of the bridges shown in the picture is mentioned in the caption, and the three bridges mentioned in the caption are not shown in the picture! The bridges in the picture are the Henry Hudson Bridge (arched) and the Amtrak Spuyten Duyvil Bridge (low swing bridge). Also, the neighborhood at left is Inwood, not Washington Heights. The Bronx neighborhood on the right is Spuyten Duyvil.
