2012 May 29

Congratulations to Flickr participant Roger Archibald for his April, 2012 Location Challenge entry of the Boston skyline from Joe Moakley Park! This photo was taken from approximately the same vantage point as the March, 1973 Documerica photo by Ernst Halberstadt: “Smog over Boston – Looking North from Columbia Point Traffic Circle.”

Next to one another, you can now see some of the change through time. While some buildings remain, what around them has changed or stayed the same?

What’s the story where you live or travel? Share a photo taken from 2011 through 2013 of our world, our environment as you see it. See how close Documerica came to home, share a photo of that place today.

In enforcing the Clean Air Act, EPA has helped prevent millions of asthma attacks across the country and continues to work alongside federal, state and local partners to address this nationwide problem.
