I recall it was raining that day. I was outside helping my father cutting and chopping wood. At that time we had a wood furnace. I recall that my mother was listening to the 4 o’clock news. Mom quickly ran out of the house. We were curious why Mom ran out of the house that quick. Mom yelled out President Kennedy was shot. My heart sank and tears ran from my eyes. Who could have done this drastic deed? Why was he targeted? President Kennedy was great president. He didn’t deserve to die in an violent way such as that. May he never be forgotten.
