It is one thing to keep the filters changed out and clean but as the author notes regular maintenance of your heating and cooling system increases efficiency and allows your system to run trouble free for many years. We have been trained to change the oil in our cars every 3,000 miles but many people have not fully grasped the benefit of having your system maintained.

Please do what is right by your home heating and cooling system, what is best for your home comfort, what is best for your home energy bills, and what is best for the environment. Maintain your heating and cooling system annually.

They had not cleaned the air filters since it was installed, and that made a duration of 7 years. 7 years! and they did not bother getting it cleaned.
