Ponytail62, I am old enough to remember when the EPA came into existance. There was oil and other chemicals being spilled in streams and toxics buried in landfills that were later deeded over to a city government later sold to housing developers and so we had a mess as people were exposed to toxic chemicals.
Many good things have happened but then the Enviromental movenment got taken over by extremely radical liberals. They were not concerned with science but just wanted to shut down all industry.
Hope you will resort to science and not emotions when judging industry. We do need industry in America and it can operate with minimal pollution. We do a much better job than Red China which is the Utopian Socialistic country to many liberals.

Possess 1.7 years of commitment experience with the State (California) Air Resources Board, Mobile Source Control Division of El Monte; received great knowledge and work experience with the Field Studies Warranty Section and Vehicle Certification Section. Provided accurate analysis of technical data to ensure completeness and meet closing dates. For many years, I have had an interest in the air quality and health issues that affects our entire population, a fact that is illustrated by my choice of major and volunteer service with the California Air Resources Board (Cal EPA). I have been very aware for several years that the air quality within highly populated cities is extremely poor, and that many cities fail to meet federal and state ambient air quality standards. Presently, we are experiencing in highly populated cities crucial air quality and health problems that involve the air pollutant ozone and its sources. With the ozone levels growing in urban areas, it is by far our nation’s most persistent and widespread air quality problem.

I am very concerned in improving the air quality for both our present and future generations, and I am interested working in an environment that advocates control, prevention, and reduction of toxic air contaminants to protect our public’s health. I would like to participate in the Environmental Protection Agency’s efforts to have our nation comply with air quality standards.
