I am doing an article on Watershed for seagreennews.com and am shocked at the EPA and United Nations reports on the near future of access to clean water.

Thank you so much for supporting river waste clean up events and for providing materials to teach school children about the issues.

This project is a great way to get closer to the people and deal with them on a personal basis without filters between the public and the staff.
I'm not surprised about all the plastic water bottles hauled out of the river. Those are the main form of litter in many places. And the thing is that the Pacific Institute has done a study showing that a filter on your tap at home will get you water that is as healthy or even healthier than some brands of bottled water without the litter from bottles and lids and without all the water being removed from drinking water sources to be put into water bottling. People and industries should look at their water footprint and treat it just like they treat their carbon footprint. Best wishes, Michael E. Bailey.
