This is a good example of unforseen accidents helping to piece together the historical record of the area. If the timbers can be decontaminated of any PCBs, they would be great for a permanent exisbit at the old fort site or at a museum and will certainly help piece together what went on at the fort and how it was built. Is there any safe way of being able to check what the dreges bring up for other items of important historical significance from this area? Thank you and best wishes, Michael E.
