Another solid article. To my understanding, Germany has mandated solar hot water systems on all new construction. Europe is now way ahead of the US in the adoption of solar therm systems and is selling their equipment to us.

In the mid ’80s, I worked with a builder who decided to include solar energy as a standard feature in all of his homes. He ended up building seventy homes in Jacksonville, NC, about twelve homes in Rome, GA, and five or six in Chapel Hill. Each house has passive and active solar systems. The passive solar system provides space heating during the day and the active solar system provides space heating and hot water in the evening or whenever the passive was spent. Some of these homes had solar fractions as high as 80%!

During this time, solar thermal systems were becoming accepted in the housing market as standard equipment. The market was maturing with proven technology. Unfortunately, the federal government pulled the rug out from under us by repealing the solar tax credits. Most of the marketplace collapsed as a result.

Let’s get it right this time,
    Dr. Ben

just chill out by the shade of the tree or chat with the neighbors. if you are more of a group participant, call your friends and have a backyard barbecue party and cook steak with your outdoor barbecue grill. share stories and jokes. enjoyment at the least expense.

    Hey, Jaruso

The truth is, that there is a TON of information available, and there are a TON of different ways to produce the results you want, and to lose as much weight as you want. The key is to really understand why a diet or exercise routine works.

How green? This is a lot of misinformation on being green, but I think it is important to recycle. So, we will make sure all the aluminum cans end up in the recycle bin.

4th of July always reminds me of grilling, and the only way to save energy when grilling is to start with a greatOutdoor Gas Grill

always take care of the environment, protect the green areas and attempt to create awareness among people to do the same, but it´s not easy because they are all celebrating and believe me that is one of the things that they care less…

Don’t set off own fireworks! Just go to a public one and make good use of napkins, no taking 500 napkins for one person during the BBQ. That’s just wasteful. We all need to do the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. That goes for utensils as well. Carpooling is also helpful. There’s going to be a lot of traffic already so we can help reduce it by going many in one vehicle. That would also help reduce air pollution, which would be awesome.

Solar cells work best in direct sunlight. If most of the south facing roof space is covered by nice large trees a photovoltaic system is not going to produce much electricity.

Hi, I usually don’t post unless I can add my website but I had to. I just couldn’t resist. So, yes I’m having some friends and family over and Im gonna make sure that everyone brings naturally disposable cups and napkins so that I can toss them in the back yard and dig a hole to cover it up with dirt and we’re gonna compost our food as well and sing Kumbiya to mother earth for all the green day goodness she provides…LOL! What!?! What are you all talking about? Woh, this is far off the totem poll folks. I had to read this twice just to make sure I was still alive….Another good one before I go…”on the next fourth of July, i will go on a vacation and have a greener holiday by camping in the woods and appreciating mother nature”. LOL!!! Outstanding.

I am finally (in the past week) in a position where I can separate and properly dispose of my paper, plastics, glass and other trash. It feels good to be able to do this. But I may have an even better “recycling” situation — my sheep will eat any cardboard they can get to. This converts to — you guessed it — fertilizer which goes on my garden. So we’re not only recycling, we’re reprocessing!!!
