I live on long Island Ny and we have all electric, heat pump and central ac all combined. I have a 1500sq ft condo and keep the heat no higher than 70, we have bills of about 230- 250 a month depending how cold our winter is and how much the heat runs. Stand Up Jokes the bills can be higher. I replaced my heating unit with a Trane system which ran about $5000. I know our electric rates are one of the highest in the country, just wondering how you find elctric heat cheap?

I think that a lot of people need to convert their homes towards systems that decrease the amount of energy needed to heat or cool their homes. It will be better for the whole world as a whole that way.
