It’s time to go back to school, so many Americans are replacing their computers. You can look for the Energy Star label to find one that uses less electricity. When you get your computer home, you can choose energy-saving settings like when to turn off the monitor.

I believe that our school is just starting to turn into a ‘green’ school. Just this year, the environmental Club here at the Princeton Communty High School in Indiana bought a brand new recycling bin. Although we don’t have much money left over, I am proud that the school is able to finally get a start on “Going Green”. I do wish that the club could somehow get more money to do more for our school so that we could start using energy saving appliances and lighting, as well as plants inside and out. Even though we are trying to help our school, we also are expected to help out the town, such as; picking up trash on the side of the roads, painting the sides of the old buildings in the town square and other activitities as well.
i have to pay to much for energy this month, i have to use tips written here to reduce cost of energy :)
nope because at the naval academy we have our own generators for electricity
which is not reliable enough for me to trust. How about “power up from flash drive”? as an option. Image memory to a 2-4GB flash drive and start up from it. Should reduce startup time such that it’s rational to power computer on and off – maybe 20 seconds, max
yes, i only use the computer for only an hour
Vista rejects sleep and standby..hibernate….they are worthless on Vista, and if you check sleep…..or standby….you cannot activate your computer when you come back on…you must reboot
yes, i personally turn off my pc when i dont want to use it and it saves alot of energy.
Yes,I do turn off my computer when not in use,it may take a little
longer to turn on, but whats the hurry. We should all be calm and
collective.
im always turn off my computer,TV and everything when not use
I try to! I turn it off when not in use, and avoid screensavers :)

Laptop is safe and smart choice of the user. It is easy to carry and handle it every where and any where. Batry backup is more then the desktop computers.
Thank for you post it’s useful for me.
